Idaho at Northern Arizona

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Interstat) — The Idaho Vandals look to rebound from a narrow home loss and solidify their position in the Big Sky Conference standings when they visit the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026.

Idaho (12-8, 4-3 Big Sky) enters the Walkup Skydome coming off a tough 69-66 defeat to Portland State last Saturday. The Vandals had won two straight prior to that setback. Northern Arizona (7-14, 1-6) snapped a six-game losing streak with an 81-77 home victory over Northern Colorado on the same day.

A key matchup will feature two of the conference’s top scorers. Idaho’s Isaiah Brickner is averaging 17.1 points per game in conference play, coming off a 22-point, six-rebound performance against Portland State. For the Lumberjacks, guard Chris Komin is averaging a team-high 14.2 points in Big Sky action and erupted for 24 points in the win over Northern Colorado.

The Vandals have shown balance, with Biko Johnson adding 20 points and Jackson Rasmussen 11 in the loss to Portland State. Northern Arizona will need more consistent support for Komin, who was held to single digits in three of the previous four games before his breakout.

Idaho holds a clear advantage in the season series in recent years, having won the last five meetings. The teams will meet again in Moscow on Feb. 26.

Saturday’s contest begins a critical two-game road swing for Idaho, which visits Montana State and Montana next week. Northern Arizona hits the road next week to face Idaho State and Weber State.

Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. MST at the Walkup Skydome. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
