Bryant at Binghamton
VESTAL, N.Y. (Interstat) — Two America East men’s basketball teams seeking to halt slides will meet Thursday afternoon when the Bryant Bulldogs visit the Binghamton Bearcats at the Events Center.
Both squads enter on extended losing streaks. Bryant (6-14) has dropped four of its last five, including a 52-62 home loss to Vermont on Saturday. Binghamton (4-18) has lost seven consecutive games, most recently a 63-79 defeat at Maine on Jan. 24.
The matchup presents a critical opportunity for either team to gain traction in conference play. Despite their records, recent performances suggest a competitive contest.
A key player to watch for Bryant is Aaron Davis. The guard has been a consistent offensive threat, averaging 14.7 points over his last seven games. He scored 15 points with six rebounds in the loss to Vermont and poured in 21 points against UMass Lowell on Jan. 8.
Binghamton will counter with guard Jeremiah Quigley, who has been a focal point of the Bearcats’ offense. Quigley is coming off a versatile performance against Maine with 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. He played 49 minutes in a triple-overtime loss at New Hampshire on Jan. 22, finishing with 14 points and eight assists.
In their last outing, Bryant’s Davis was supported by Keegan Harvey and Ty Tabales, who each added 10 points. For Binghamton in its last game, Jackson Benigni scored 13 points and Bryson Wilson added 12 alongside Quigley’s all-around effort.
The Bulldogs won the only meeting between the teams last season, 72-68, on Feb. 22, 2025. They are scheduled to meet again in Smithfield, Rhode Island, on Feb. 19.
Thursday’s game is set for a 7 p.m. tip-off at the Binghamton University Events Center.
