Marquette Dominates Creighton Behind James’ 21 Points
MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — Nigel James scored 21 points and dished seven assists to lead Marquette to an 86-62 victory over Creighton in a Big East men’s basketball game Tuesday night at Bradley Center.
The Golden Eagles (8-14) seized control with a dominant first half, building a 52-23 lead by halftime. The Bluejays (12-9) never recovered from the early deficit despite 17 points from Austin Swartz and 15 from Blake Harper. Royce Parham added 19 points for Marquette, which avenged a loss to Creighton last month. A crowd of 14,115 watched as the Golden Eagles led wire-to-wire.
