Hofstra at William & Mary

Preview: Hofstra Pride at William & Mary Tribe

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Interstat) — Two teams jockeying for position in the Colonial Athletic Association will meet Saturday when the William & Mary Tribe hosts the Hofstra Pride at Kaplan Arena.

Both squads enter with identical 13-win records, though William & Mary (13-6) holds a slight edge in winning percentage over Hofstra (13-7). The matchup features two of the conference’s top guards in Hofstra’s Cruz Davis and William & Mary’s Kyle Pulliam.

Davis has been on a prolific scoring run, averaging 24.6 points over his last seven games. He is coming off a 30-point performance in a narrow 79-78 road loss to North Carolina A&T on Thursday. In that game, Preston Edmead and Jaeden Roberts each added 20 points for the Pride, who have dropped three straight contests after a five-game winning streak.

The Tribe snapped a three-game skid of their own with a 77-70 home victory over UNC Wilmington on Thursday. Pulliam led the way with 16 points, while Kilian Brockhoff and Cade Haskins each chipped in 15. Pulliam has been a consistent contributor, scoring in double figures in five of his last seven outings.

Hofstra’s recent struggles have coincided with a demanding schedule, with four of its last five games on the road. William & Mary has been strong at home this season, boasting a notable non-conference win over Duquesne and a 29-point victory over Stony Brook in Williamsburg.

The Pride will look to leverage Davis’s high-volume offense to break their losing streak, while the Tribe will aim to use home-court advantage to solidify their standing in the CAA. Tipoff is set for Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026.
