Vermont Looks to Extend Win Streak Against Struggling Bryant

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (Interstat) — The Vermont Catamounts aim to continue their climb in the America East standings when they visit the Bryant Bulldogs on Saturday, Jan. 24.

Vermont (12-8, 4-1 America East) enters on a two-game winning streak, most recently defeating Massachusetts-Lowell 77-68 on Thursday. The Catamounts have won five of their last six conference games.

Bryant (6-13, 2-3) seeks to rebound from a 79-55 road loss to NJIT on Monday. The Bulldogs have lost three of their last four.

A key matchup will feature Vermont’s high-scoring guard TJ Hurley against Bryant’s forward Keegan Harvey. Hurley is coming off a 30-point performance against UMass Lowell and is averaging 18.2 points over his last five games. Harvey, a versatile defender, posted 10 points, five rebounds and two assists in the loss to NJIT.

The Catamounts have found success with balanced scoring. Alongside Hurley, Ben Johnson added 10 points against UMass Lowell, and Lucas Mari contributed nine points and a block.

Bryant’s offense has struggled for consistency, failing to reach 65 points in three of its last four games. Aaron Davis, who had 11 points and six rebounds against NJIT, will need to provide additional support for Harvey.

Vermont holds a distinct advantage in recent form and overall record. The teams will meet again in Burlington on Feb. 14.

Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. EST at the Chace Athletic Center. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
