Maryland’s David Coit Drops 43 Points in Terrapins’ Blowout of Penn State

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (Interstat) — David Coit scored a career-high 43 points to power Maryland to a 96-73 victory over Penn State in a Big Ten men’s basketball game Sunday at Xfinity Center.

The Terrapins (7-10) built a commanding 56-26 halftime lead and never looked back. Coit, a guard, was efficient in his 39 minutes, adding four assists. Elijah Saunders added 16 points for Maryland, which shot well from the floor.

The Nittany Lions (9-9), led by 47 second-half points, could not overcome the early deficit. They were more effective in transition and off turnovers but could not contain Coit. An announced crowd of 11,567 watched the game.
