Connecticut at Seton Hall

Preview of Connecticut vs. Seton Hall

NEWARK, N.J. (Interstat) — A top-10 showdown with major Big East implications is set for Tuesday night when the Connecticut Huskies visit the Seton Hall Pirates at Prudential Center.

The Huskies (16-1, 4-0 Big East), whose only loss came in nonconference play, have been a juggernaut, winning their last nine games. They are coming off a 72-60 victory over DePaul on Saturday. UConn’s offense, which put up 103 points in an overtime win at Providence last week, is averaging 78.2 points per game.

Seton Hall (14-2, 3-1) has been nearly as dominant, with its only losses coming to Villanova and in a narrow nonconference game at Southern California. The Pirates have won three straight, including a 76-67 road win at Georgetown on Saturday. They are allowing just 66.1 points per game, setting up a clash of styles.

A key matchup will feature Connecticut’s high-scoring guard Braylon Mullins against Seton Hall’s dynamic guard Adam Clark. Mullins is averaging 14.0 points per game and is coming off a 16-point performance against DePaul. He scored 24 in the overtime win at Providence. Clark leads the Pirates with 16.1 points per game and is fresh off a 22-point outing at Georgetown.

UConn has won the last seven meetings between the programs, including both matchups last season. The Huskies won 80-70 at home and 97-60 on the road.

The winner will seize early control of the conference race. For Connecticut, a victory would solidify its hold on the nation’s top ranking. For Seton Hall, a win would mark the program’s most significant regular-season triumph in years and announce the Pirates as legitimate Big East title contenders.

Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026. The game will be televised on FS1.
