EASTON, Pa. (Interstat) — Jalen Cox scored 29 points to lead Colgate to an 85-77 victory over Lafayette in a Patriot League men’s basketball game Wednesday afternoon at Kirby Sports Center.

The Raiders improved to 7-7 overall, while the Leopards fell to 3-10. Colgate led 41-37 at halftime and maintained its advantage throughout the second half. Cox, a junior guard from Los Angeles, added three rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes. Sam Wright contributed 20 points and nine rebounds for Colgate.

Caleb Williams led Lafayette with 17 points and seven rebounds. Mark Butler added 19 points for the Leopards. Colgate dominated fast-break scoring 17-2 and scored 17 points off turnovers. Attendance was 1,278.
