Houston Dominates New Orleans in Lopsided Victory

HOUSTON (Interstat) — The 10th-ranked Houston Cougars delivered a commanding performance Saturday, routing the New Orleans Privateers 99-57 at Hofheinz Pavilion.

Houston, now 10-1, overwhelmed the Privateers from the start, building a 44-23 halftime lead before extending it after the break. New Orleans, which fell to 4-8, could not match the Cougars’ intensity on either end of the floor. The game drew an attendance of 7,035.

The victory followed Houston’s predictive metrics, which heavily favored the Cougars. Houston next plays Arkansas on Dec. 20 in Newark, New Jersey, while New Orleans travels to face Texas-Rio Grande Valley on Dec. 29.
