Merrimack Edges Princeton in Defensive Struggle
PRINCETON, N.J. (Interstat) — The Merrimack Warriors held off the Princeton Tigers 59-56 in a low-scoring men’s NCAA basketball game Wednesday night at Jadwin Gymnasium. Merrimack led 32-29 at halftime and matched Princeton’s 27-point output in the second half to secure the road victory before a crowd of 1,048. The Warriors, who improved to 6-6, overcame a pregame projection that heavily favored Princeton. The Tigers, who fell to 3-10, could not complete a comeback despite the narrow halftime margin. Both teams struggled offensively, with the combined score falling well below the pregame over/under line.
