North Dakota at Hawaii

HONOLULU (Interstat) — The Hawaii Warriors look to continue their strong start to the season when they host the North Dakota Fighting Hawks in a non-conference men’s basketball game Friday at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Hawaii (5-2) returns to its home court after an 88-76 victory over Hawaii Pacific on Monday. The Warriors have been strong at home this season, boasting a 5-1 record in Honolulu. Their offense has been potent, scoring 88 or more points in three of their wins. Isaac Johnson scored 16 points off the bench in the latest victory, while Harry Rouhliadeff added 14 points and three assists.

North Dakota (3-5) arrives after snapping a two-game skid with a 78-69 road win at Western Illinois on Sunday. The Fighting Hawks are 1-4 in true road games this season. Garrett Anderson led the way with 21 points in that victory, with Eli King adding 18 and Greyson Uelmen contributing 16 points and four assists.

The matchup pits Hawaii’s efficient home-court advantage against a North Dakota team seeking consistency away from home. The Warriors’ early-season schedule has featured success against mid-major opponents, while the Fighting Hawks have faced power-conference tests, including a loss at then-Alabama.

This is the first meeting between the programs. Following this game, Hawaii begins a stretch of home contests against UC Davis and Cal State Fullerton, while North Dakota continues its road trip at Idaho.
