SMU at Mississippi State

STARKVILLE, Miss. (Interstat) — The undefeated SMU Mustangs put their perfect record on the line Friday when they visit Humphrey Coliseum for a non-conference clash with the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

SMU (7-0) is off to its best start in years, riding a high-powered offense that has averaged 94.1 points per game. The Mustangs are coming off an 89-72 victory over Radford on Monday, led by a standout performance from Boopie Miller, who posted 25 points and 10 assists. Corey Washington added 21 points and three blocks.

Mississippi State (3-3) has been inconsistent, needing overtime to edge New Orleans 81-78 in its last outing. Josh Hubbard carried the Bulldogs with 28 points and five assists in that narrow win. The Bulldogs have struggled against stronger competition, with losses to New Mexico, Kansas State and Iowa State.

The matchup pits SMU’s explosive scoring against a Mississippi State team searching for a signature win. The Bulldogs will look to leverage their home-court advantage to disrupt the Mustangs’ rhythm and hand them their first loss.

The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. CST tip-off on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025.
