Wright State at Butler
INDIANAPOLIS (Interstat) — The Butler Bulldogs, fresh off a statement road win, return to historic Hinkle Fieldhouse on Friday to host the Wright State Raiders in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup.
Butler (5-1) is riding high after an 80-73 victory at Virginia last Sunday. Michael Ajayi led the way with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds, while Finley Bizjack poured in a team-high 25 points. The Bulldogs’ only blemish is a narrow two-point road loss to SMU.
Wright State (4-3) arrives in Indianapolis after a 79-62 road win at Stetson on Tuesday. Michael Cooper scored 19 points in that contest, with Bryan Etumnu adding 14 and Michael Imariagbe contributing 13. The Raiders have shown a potent offense, including a 100-point outing against Ohio Wesleyan, but have struggled on the road against high-major competition with losses at California and Toledo.
The game pits Butler’s strong start and proven ability to win tough road games against a Wright State team looking for a signature victory. The Raiders will need another high-scoring performance from their trio of Cooper, Etumnu and Imariagbe to challenge the Bulldogs on their home court.
Tipoff is set for Friday, Nov. 28, 2025. Butler’s next game is at home against Eastern Michigan on Dec. 2, while Wright State travels to Youngstown State on Dec. 3.
