Indiana State at Louisiana Tech
RUSTON, La. (Interstat) — A quick rematch awaits the Indiana State Sycamores and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on Wednesday night at the Thomas Assembly Center, just one week after their first meeting.
Indiana State (4-2) enters with momentum, having defeated the Bulldogs 60-51 on Nov. 19 in Terre Haute before a 70-52 victory over Ball State on Saturday. The Sycamores showcased a balanced attack against Ball State, with Jo Van Buggenhout and Markus Harding each scoring 15 points.
Louisiana Tech (2-2) looks to defend its home court and avenge last week’s loss, where it was held to 51 points. Scooter Williams was a bright spot for the Bulldogs in that game, scoring 23 points in the losing effort. Since that defeat, Louisiana Tech has been idle, while Indiana State added another win to its record.
The Sycamores’ two losses this season have come on the road against power-conference opponent Duke and Charlotte. Louisiana Tech’s other loss was a 77-50 defeat at Nevada.
Wednesday’s game tips off at 7 p.m. CST. Following this contest, both teams will host Alcorn State in their next games, with Indiana State playing Friday and Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
