Dayton at Marquette

MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — The Dayton Flyers and Marquette Golden Eagles, two teams looking to build momentum early in the season, will meet in a non-conference men’s basketball game Wednesday at the Bradley Center.

Dayton (3-1) arrives in Milwaukee after a high-scoring 91-82 home victory over Bethune-Cookman on Saturday. Guard Javon Bennett led the way with 25 points, five rebounds and five assists, while forward Amael L’Etang added a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. The Flyers’ only loss came on the road against Cincinnati.

Marquette (3-2) is looking to rebound from an 89-82 home loss to Maryland on the same day. The Golden Eagles were powered by Chase Ross, who exploded for 31 points in the defeat. Their two losses this season have both come at home against power-conference opponents, having also fallen to Indiana.

The matchup features two efficient offenses. Dayton has scored at least 77 points in all three of its wins, while Marquette has surpassed the 80-point mark in three of its five games. The contest will be a final tune-up for both teams before heading to multi-team events in Florida later in the week.
