Sacramento State at UC Davis
DAVIS, Calif. (Interstat) — A pair of 2-1 teams seeking momentum will meet Friday when the Sacramento State Hornets visit the UC Davis Aggies in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup at The Pavilion at ARC.
Both teams are coming off their first loss of the young season. Sacramento State fell 92-87 to UC Santa Barbara on Tuesday despite a 30-point, five-assist performance from guard Mikey Williams. Jeremiah Cherry added 20 points and Prophet Johnson scored 17 for the Hornets, who had previously posted high-scoring wins over Dominican and Jessup.
UC Davis looks to rebound from a 67-63 road loss at Portland last Sunday. In that game, Isaiah Chappell led the Aggies with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Niko Rocak added 11 points and six boards. The Aggies opened their season with decisive home victories over Menlo and North Dakota State.
The intrastate matchup offers both squads a final local test before embarking on challenging road stretches. Sacramento State will visit UCLA and California next week, while UC Davis is set to travel to Nevada and Colorado.
Tipoff is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 14, 2025.
