CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Interstat) — The undefeated Illinois Fighting Illini will put their high-powered offense to the test when they host the Colgate Raiders in a nonconference men’s basketball game Friday at State Farm Center.

Illinois (3-0) is coming off an 81-77 victory over Texas Tech on Tuesday. Kylan Boswell led the team with 22 points, while Andrej Stojakovic added 23 points. The Illini have scored at least 81 points in all three of their wins, including a pair of 113-point performances to open the season.

Colgate (1-2) earned its first win of the season Tuesday, defeating Drexel 90-83. Jalen Cox was the catalyst for the Raiders, scoring 26 points and dishing out nine assists. Sam Wright added 22 points in the victory.

The Raiders opened their season with a road loss to Michigan State before falling at home to Northeastern.

Friday’s contest is the first of a challenging two-game stretch for Illinois, which will face Alabama next Wednesday in Chicago. Colgate visits Siena on Monday.
