Dayton at Cincinnati

CINCINNATI (Interstat) — Two in-state rivals, both 2-0, will clash Tuesday when the Dayton Flyers visit the Cincinnati Bearcats at Fifth Third Arena.

Dayton, coming off a 77-71 home win over Maryland-Baltimore County on Saturday, has relied on a balanced attack. Javon Bennett led the way against UMBC with 16 points and 7 assists, while Keonte Jones added 12 points and De’Shayne Montgomery contributed 11 points and 6 rebounds. The Flyers opened their season with a dominant 88-48 victory over Canisius.

Cincinnati also remained undefeated with a 74-64 win over Georgia State on Friday. Baba Miller was the standout performer, pouring in 24 points and recording 3 blocks. Day Day Thomas added 12 points and 4 assists in the victory. The Bearcats began their season with a 94-63 rout of Western Carolina.

The game marks a key early-season test for both programs. Dayton’s upcoming schedule includes a matchup with Marquette, while Cincinnati will face a tough road test at Louisville later this month. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST Tuesday in Cincinnati.
