Morehead State at Clemson

GREENVILLE, S.C. (Interstat) — The Clemson Tigers, coming off a dominant start to the season, will look to remain undefeated when they host the struggling Morehead State Eagles in a nonconference men’s basketball game Tuesday at the Bi-Lo Center.

Clemson (2-0) has opened its season with a pair of lopsided victories, most recently a 97-59 rout of Gardner-Webb on Friday. The Tigers have won both of their games by an average of 44 points.

Morehead State (1-2) arrives in South Carolina seeking to rebound from a 120-81 road loss to Georgia on Sunday. The Eagles’ lone win this season was a narrow 89-84 victory over Midway, and they are coming off back-to-back double-digit losses to power-conference opponents Georgia and Wake Forest.

The game will be a homecoming for Morehead State forward Nick Davidson, a Greenville native who is averaging 18 points and six rebounds. He and RJ Godfrey, who scored 13 points against Gardner-Webb, will be key for the Eagles as they attempt to challenge a deep and efficient Clemson squad.

Following this contest, Clemson will travel to face Georgetown on Saturday, while Morehead State returns home to host Ky. Christian on Nov. 16.
