Northeastern at Colgate
HAMILTON, N.Y. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking their first win of the young season will meet Friday when the Northeastern Huskies visit the Colgate Raiders at Cotterell Court.
Both teams enter the non-conference matchup with 0-1 records after suffering narrow season-opening losses on Monday.
Northeastern fell 76-75 in overtime to Boston University. The Huskies were led by LA Pratt, who scored 26 points, and Youri Fritz, who added 15 points and five rebounds. William Kermoury contributed 14 points and six rebounds in the defeat.
Colgate dropped its opener 80-69 on the road against a tough Michigan State squad. The Raiders’ offense was paced by Sam Wright’s 17 points, while Jalen Cox dished out seven assists and added 12 points. Brady Cummins chipped in 11 points.
The game represents a key early-season test for both programs before each embarks on a challenging stretch. Following this contest, Northeastern will travel to face Harvard on Nov. 11, while Colgate will host Drexel on the same date.
