College of Charleston at Liberty
LYNCHBURG, Va. (Interstat) — Two teams coming off dominant season-opening victories will meet Friday when the Liberty Flames host the College of Charleston Cougars in a non-conference men’s basketball game at Vines Center.
Both teams enter the Nov. 7, 2025, contest with 1-0 records. The Cougars opened their season with a 79-58 win over Tusculum on Monday, led by Chol Machot (14 points) and Christian Reeves (12 points). The Flames were even more impressive in their debut, routing Kentucky Christian 98-57 behind a standout performance from Brett Decker Jr., who poured in 29 points, dished three assists and grabbed three rebounds.
The game will be a quick turnaround for both squads. Charleston faces Florida Atlantic on Saturday in Lynchburg, while Liberty will host the same Owls team on Sunday.
The matchup pits Charleston’s balanced scoring attack against a Liberty team that showcased high-powered offense in its opener. Zach Cleveland added a double-double for the Flames with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Tipoff is set for Friday night at Vines Center.
