SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Interstat) — Cole Certa scored a game-high 37 points to lead Notre Dame to an 89-74 victory over Georgia Tech in Atlantic Coast Conference men’s basketball Saturday at Joyce Athletic Center.

The Fighting Irish never trailed after establishing a 45-33 halftime lead. The Yellow Jackets cut the deficit to single digits several times in the second half, but Certa’s scoring, including five 3-pointers, consistently stifled rallies. Braeden Shrewsberry added 20 points for Notre Dame.

Baye Ndongo posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds for Georgia Tech. Kowacie Reeves led the Yellow Jackets with 16 points. Notre Dame improved to 12-14 overall, while Georgia Tech fell to 11-15. Attendance was 5,906.
