SAN DIEGO (Interstat) — UC San Diego pulled away after halftime to defeat non-divisional opponent Stanton 85-62 in a men’s NCAA Division I basketball game Sunday at RIMAC Arena.

The Tritons led 35-31 at intermission before outscoring Stanton 50-31 in the second half. The victory improved UC San Diego’s season record to 11-2 before an announced crowd of 1,472. Stanton’s offense was held to 31 points in each half. No individual statistics for UC San Diego players were provided. The Tritons open Big West Conference play Thursday at Cal Poly.
