Princeton at Iona

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (Interstat) — The unbeaten Iona Gaels will put their perfect record on the line Tuesday night when they host the Princeton Tigers in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup at the Hynes Center.

Iona (3-0) is coming off a 76-71 home victory over Fordham on Friday. CJ Anthony led the way with 21 points and eight assists, while Lamin Sabally added 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists. The Gaels have also secured wins over Missouri-Kansas City and Hofstra to start the season.

Princeton (2-2) looks to rebound from a 76-57 road loss to Kansas on Saturday. Despite the defeat, guard Dalen Davis scored 21 points for the Tigers. Princeton has shown a Jekyll-and-Hyde tendency, with blowout wins over John Jay and Bucknell at home but double-digit road losses to Kansas and Akron.

The game pits Iona’s early-season momentum against a Princeton squad seeking its first quality road win. The Tigers will rely on Davis, Jackson Hicke and Jack Stanton, who combined for 48 points against the Jayhawks.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST. Princeton hosts Northeastern on Thursday, while Iona travels to face Akron in the U.S. Virgin Islands on Friday.
