Cal State Bakersfield at Mississippi
OXFORD, Miss. (Interstat) — The undefeated Mississippi Rebels (3-0) will put their perfect record on the line Friday night when they host the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners (2-1) in a nonconference men’s basketball matchup at The Pavilion at Ole Miss.
The Rebels are coming off their most impressive win of the young season, an 83-77 victory over Memphis on Tuesday. Ilias Kamardine led the way with 26 points and four assists, while Kezza Giffa added 15 points and five assists. Mississippi has won its first three games by an average margin of 19.3 points.
Cal State Bakersfield arrives after a 74-58 home win over Western Illinois, also on Tuesday. CJ Hardy scored a team-high 18 points in that contest, and Ronald Jessamy added 12 points. The Roadrunners’ lone loss was a 87-60 defeat on the road against California.
The game represents a step up in competition for the Roadrunners, who will look to contain a potent Rebels offense that has averaged 85.7 points per game. Mississippi will aim to avoid a letdown before hosting Austin Peay next Tuesday.
Tipoff is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 14, 2025.
