Columbia at New Haven

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (Interstat) — The New Haven Chargers will look to bounce back from a season-opening loss when they host the Columbia Lions in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at Charger Gymnasium.

New Haven (0-1) is coming off a 79-55 road defeat against Connecticut on Monday. The Chargers have a quick turnaround, hosting Penn State the following afternoon.

Columbia (0-0) tips off its 2025-26 season in West Haven. The Lions last played on March 8, 2025, concluding their previous campaign with a 100-81 loss at Cornell.

The game represents a fresh start for the Lions, who will rely on returning players like Andre Pasha, who scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds in the finale against Cornell. Maison Adeleye added 13 points in that contest.

For New Haven, Friday’s game is an early opportunity to correct course before a challenging stretch that includes a game at Massachusetts-Lowell on Nov. 10. Columbia’s schedule also intensifies, with a trip to Connecticut slated for Nov. 10.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST at Charger Gymnasium.
