IU Indy at Purdue Fort Wayne
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Interstat) — The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons will look to solidify their position in the Horizon League standings when they host the struggling IU Indy Jaguars on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, at Gates Sports Center.
The Mastodons (14-12 overall) enter the contest seeking to halt a three-game skid, most recently a 76-59 loss at Green Bay on Thursday. Their offense, which erupted for 100 points in a win over Milwaukee last month, has averaged just 62.6 points during the losing streak. A spark could come from reserve Deangelo Elisee, who scored 10 points in 13 minutes against Green Bay and has shown defensive prowess with multiple blocks in three of his last seven appearances.
Conversely, the visiting Jaguars (7-20) are looking to snap a two-game slide of their own, both narrow home losses. They fell 84-81 to Northern Kentucky on Thursday despite 22 points from Kyler D’Augustino and a 16-point, 5-assist effort from Jaxon Edwards. Edwards has been a consistent bright spot for IU Indy, averaging 15.1 points over his last seven games, including a 20-point outing in a win at Oakland and a triple-double (13 points, 11 rebounds) in a victory over Cleveland State on Feb. 7.
The matchup pits Purdue Fort Wayne’s quest for conference stability against an IU Indy team that has shown fight but has found wins elusive. The Jaguars have lost five of their last seven, though four of those defeats were by single digits. Containing Edwards will be a key focus for the Mastodons’ defense.
This game is the first of two regular-season meetings between the programs this month. They are scheduled to meet again in Indianapolis on Saturday, Feb. 28. Purdue Fort Wayne holds a 4-2 record at home in Horizon League play this season, while IU Indy is 1-5 on the road in the conference.
Sunday’s contest tips off a critical closing stretch for both teams as the Horizon League tournament approaches.
