IU Indy at Eastern Michigan
YPSILANTI, Mich. (Interstat) — The Eastern Michigan Eagles and IU Indy Jaguars, both seeking to build momentum after rocky starts, will face off in a non-conference men’s basketball game Friday at the Convocation Center.
The Eagles (1-1) return home after a 78-66 road loss to Pittsburgh on Monday. Carlos Hart led the way in that contest with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Mohammad Habhab and Addison Patterson each added 15 and 13 points, respectively. Eastern Michigan opened its season with a dominant 71-49 victory over Georgia State.
IU Indy (1-3) enters following its first win of the season, a decisive 121-77 victory over IU Columbus on Tuesday. The Jaguars’ offense erupted, led by Matt Compas (19 points), Micah Davis (17 points) and Aiden Miller (13 points, five rebounds, five assists). Prior to that win, the Jaguars dropped games to Ohio State, Long Island and Butler, where they allowed an average of 108 points.
Friday’s matchup will be the first of a two-game road swing for the Jaguars, who travel to Charleston Southern next Tuesday. Eastern Michigan will hit the road for a game at Detroit on the same night.
