NEW ORLEANS (Interstat) — An undefeated Tulane looks to continue its strong start when it hosts crosstown foe New Orleans in a nonconference men’s basketball game Friday at Devlin Fieldhouse.

The Green Wave (3-0) are coming off a 66-62 road victory over Louisiana-Lafayette on Tuesday. Rowan Brumbaugh led the way with 19 points, while Tyler Ringgold added 17 and KJ Greene scored 14.

Tulane has opened the season with three consecutive wins, including home victories over Samford and Texas State.

The New Orleans Privateers (2-1) are looking to rebound from a 93-58 road loss to LSU on Monday. Coleton Benson scored 10 points in that contest, with Enzo Boudouma adding nine and Churchill Abass contributing eight points and two blocks.

The Privateers began the season with a road win over TCU and a dominant home victory against Southern-N.O. before the lopsided loss to the Tigers.

This in-city matchup tips off a challenging stretch for New Orleans, which embarks on a multi-game road trip after this contest. Tulane will host Utah State in a neutral-site game in Charleston, South Carolina, next Friday.
