BOSTON (Interstat) — Cruz Davis scored 22 points to lead Hofstra to an 82-68 victory over Northeastern in a Colonial Athletic Association men’s basketball game Saturday at Matthews Arena.

The Pride improved to 19-10 overall, completing a regular-season sweep of the Huskies after a Feb. 5 win. Northeastern dropped to 6-20.

Davis led a balanced Hofstra attack. Preston Edmead added 19 points and German Plotnikov scored 18. Silas Sunday grabbed 11 rebounds for the Pride.

Youri Fritz posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds for Northeastern. William Kermoury added 17 points and Xavier Abreu had 10 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

Hofstra controlled the game throughout, covering the pregame spread as an 8.5-point favorite. The total score fell under the projected over/under line of 149.5.
