(Interstat) — Utah Valley used a strong second half to pull away from California Baptist for a 65-46 victory in a Western Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Thursday night at UCCU Center.

The Wolverines led 29-22 at halftime before outscoring the Lancers 36-24 after the break. The win improved Utah Valley’s record to 19-7, while California Baptist fell to 19-8. A crowd of 2,364 watched as the teams combined for a total far below the projected over/under line. Utah Valley avenged an overtime loss to the Lancers last month.
