BUFFALO, N.Y. (Interstat) — Northern Illinois rallied from a halftime deficit to edge Buffalo 72-70 in a Mid-American Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday night at Alumni Arena.

The Huskies, who trailed 35-29 at the break, outscored the Bulls 43-35 in the second half to secure the narrow victory. The win improved Northern Illinois to 9-16 overall, while Buffalo fell to 15-10.

The game drew an attendance of 1,802. Buffalo had been an 8.5-point pregame favorite. The teams combined for 142 total points, falling under the over/under line of 147.5.
