Jacksonville at West Georgia

CARROLLTON, Ga. (Interstat) — Two ASUN Conference men’s basketball teams seeking momentum will meet Saturday when the West Georgia Wolves host the Jacksonville Dolphins at The Coliseum.

The matchup features squads with nearly identical records. Jacksonville enters at 9-15 overall, while West Georgia sits at 10-13. Both teams are coming off losses this past Thursday. The Dolphins fell 93-84 at Queens (N.C.), despite 17 points from guard Donovan Rivers. The Wolves dropped an 81-73 home decision to North Florida, with Malcolm Noel leading the way with 15 points and four assists.

The Jan. 10 meeting between these teams was a one-sided affair, with Jacksonville cruising to a 75-43 home victory. Rivers scored 10 points in that contest for the Dolphins, while Noel was held to just two points for the Wolves.

Rivers, a key player for Jacksonville, has been a consistent scorer recently. He has tallied 17 points in three of his last five games, including in the first matchup against West Georgia. His performance will be critical for a Dolphins offense that has shown volatility, scoring 90 points in a win at North Alabama on Jan. 17 but being held under 50 in a loss to Florida Gulf Coast on Jan. 31.

For West Georgia, Noel has emerged as a primary facilitator and scorer. Over his last four games, he is averaging 12.3 points and 3.3 assists. The Wolves will need a more efficient offensive performance than their 43-point outing in Jacksonville last month to secure a home victory and even the season series.

The game is part of a crucial late-season stretch for both programs as they look to improve their positioning ahead of the ASUN tournament. Following this contest, Jacksonville will visit Stetson on Feb. 12, while West Georgia travels to North Alabama on Feb. 11.

Tipoff is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, in Carrollton.
