Harvard at Dartmouth
Preview: Harvard Aims for Revenge Against Dartmouth in Ivy League Showdown
HANOVER, N.H. (Interstat) — A pivotal Ivy League men’s basketball matchup with postseason implications is set for Saturday when the Harvard Crimson visit the Dartmouth Big Green at Leede Arena.
Harvard (12-9, 5-3 Ivy) enters on a two-game winning streak following a dramatic 67-65 road victory at Yale last Saturday. Dartmouth (10-10, 4-4) is coming off a resilient 77-70 overtime win at Brown, showcasing the parity expected in this conference clash.
The contest is a quick rematch, as Dartmouth secured a 76-68 win at Harvard on Jan. 5. The Crimson will be eager to avenge that loss and solidify their standing in the league race.
A key matchup will feature two of the conference’s top scorers. Harvard is led by dynamic guard Robert Hinton, who is averaging 22.3 points over his last six games. He poured in 26 points in the win at Yale and has scored 22 or more in four of those contests. His ability to create offense will be central to Harvard’s attack.
Dartmouth counters with guard Kareem Thomas, who has been a consistent force. Thomas scored 17 points in the overtime win at Brown and had a 22-point performance in a victory over Princeton on Jan. 19. His backcourt battle with Hinton could decide the tempo.
Harvard’s recent success has been fueled by a balanced effort. Alongside Hinton, Chandler Pigge and Thomas Batties provided crucial support in the Yale win. Dartmouth relies on more than just Thomas, as evidenced by Connor Amundsen’s 16 points and Jackson Munro’s 12 points and four blocks against Brown.
Both teams have shown the ability to win close games, with Harvard edging Penn 64-63 and Dartmouth topping Princeton 71-69 earlier in January. With the Ivy League tournament picture tightening, securing a head-to-head tiebreaker is critical.
The game tips off at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at Leede Arena. Harvard visits Cornell next on Feb. 21, while Dartmouth travels to Columbia on the same date.
