The Waves built a 33-26 halftime lead and maintained control despite a second-half push from the Roadrunners. Pepperdine’s defense was pivotal, limiting Cal State Bakersfield to 29.8% shooting from the field and 16.7% from 3-point range. Javon Cooley added 17 points for the Waves.

CJ Hardy and Jaden Alexander each scored 16 points for the Roadrunners, who made 24 of 25 free throws but could not overcome their poor shooting. Pepperdine improved to 4-7, while Cal State Bakersfield fell to 4-8.
