Columbia at Fairfield

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Interstat) — A pair of surging men’s college basketball teams will meet Wednesday when the Columbia Lions face the Fairfield Stags at Webster Bank Arena.

Columbia (5-1) enters the non-conference matchup on a four-game winning streak, most recently routing Longwood 95-70 on Sunday. The Lions’ offense has been potent, averaging 84.2 points per game during their streak. Blair Thompson leads the charge, coming off a 25-point, six-rebound performance against Longwood. Kenny Noland added 24 points and seven assists in the win.

Fairfield (4-2) has won three of its last four, including a 97-83 victory at Le Moyne on Saturday. The Stags’ offense was fueled by a balanced attack with Brandon Benjamin, Deuce Turner and Declan Wucherpfennig each scoring 17 or 18 points.

The game features a contrast in early-season tests. Columbia’s lone loss was a 62-89 defeat at the hands of a power-conference opponent in Connecticut. Fairfield has also faced a tough schedule, falling to Seton Hall and Penn State on the road.

Tipoff is set for Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025. The matchup is the first of a two-game homestand for Fairfield, while Columbia continues a stretch of four out of five games on the road.
