Alabama State at New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Interstat) — The New Mexico Lobos look to capitalize on their home court advantage when they host the Alabama State Hornets in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, at The Pit.

New Mexico (4-2) is coming off an 80-78 road victory over Mississippi State last Friday. Tomislav Buljan led the Lobos with 19 points in that contest, while Uriah Tenette added 13 points and three assists. The win provided a bounce-back after a home loss to Nebraska two days prior.

Alabama State (3-4) arrives after a 83-68 loss at SIU Edwardsville on Sunday, despite a 20-point performance from Micah Simpson. The Hornets have shown offensive firepower this season, including a 101-point outing against IUPUI, but have struggled on the road with a 1-3 record away from home.

The game pits Alabama State’s top scorers, Simpson and Asjon Anderson, against a New Mexico team that has won both of its home games this season by an average of 18 points. The Lobos will be heavily favored in their final tune-up before a stretch of games against N.M. Highlands and Santa Clara.

For Alabama State, the contest is another challenging road test before a break until a Dec. 7 game at Tennessee-Martin.
