Drexel at Morgan State
BALTIMORE (Interstat) — The Drexel Dragons, coming off a narrow victory, will look to even their record when they visit the struggling Morgan State Bears on Tuesday night at Hill Field House.
Drexel (3-4) snapped a two-game skid with a 75-71 home win over Old Dominion on Sunday. The Dragons were led by a strong frontcourt performance from Villiam Garcia Adsten, who posted a double-double with 10 rebounds and seven points, and Garfield Turner, who just missed one with nine points and nine rebounds. Shane Blakeney added a team-high 15 points.
Morgan State (1-5) seeks to halt a four-game losing streak after a decisive 88-56 road loss to that same Old Dominion team last Friday. Elijah Davis paced the Bears with 12 points in the defeat. Morgan State’s lone win this season came against non-Division I opponent Central Penn.
The matchup pits Drexel’s recent momentum against a Morgan State team searching for answers. The Bears have struggled defensively, allowing an average of 81.6 points during their current four-game slide. Drexel will aim to exploit that defense and build on its recent success before a 10-game stretch that is heavy on Colonial Athletic Association play beginning in late December.
Tipoff is set for Tuesday, Nov. 25, in Baltimore.
