Bellarmine at Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Interstat) — The Bellarmine Knights look to rebound from a high-scoring loss when they visit the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a nonconference men’s basketball game Wednesday night.

Bellarmine (1-3) is coming off a 94-86 home defeat to Wofford on Saturday. Brian Waddell and Jack Karasinski each scored 23 points in the loss, with Waddell adding six rebounds. The Knights’ lone win was a 94-55 rout of Hanover on Nov. 12, but they have suffered double-digit road losses to Georgia and Kansas State this season.

Notre Dame (3-1) aims to bounce back from its first loss, a narrow 64-63 defeat at Ohio State on Sunday. Jalen Haralson led the Irish with 13 points, while Carson Towt pulled down 12 rebounds. The Irish have been strong at home, winning all three of their games at the Joyce Athletic Center by an average margin of 30 points.

The matchup pits Bellarmine’s offense, which produced 86 points in its last outing, against a Notre Dame defense that has held its three home opponents to an average of 65 points.

Tipoff is set for Wednesday at the Joyce Athletic Center.
