Tennessee Tech at South Carolina Upstate

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Interstat) — The South Carolina Upstate Spartans, coming off a road loss, return home to face the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup on Wednesday.

The Spartans (3-2) look to rebound after a 73-60 defeat at UNC Wilmington last Saturday. Prior to that, South Carolina Upstate secured a decisive 114-53 victory over Bob Jones and opened the season with a notable 67-66 road win at Fresno State.

Tennessee Tech (2-3) arrives seeking to end a two-game skid, most recently falling 61-59 to West Georgia at home on Monday. The Golden Eagles’ two wins this season came convincingly against lower-division opponents Berea and Virginia-Lynchburg, but they are 0-3 against Division I competition.

The game will be played at the G.B. Hodge Center, where the Spartans are 2-0 this season, having won both home contests by an average of 53 points.

Following this game, South Carolina Upstate travels to face West Georgia on Friday. Tennessee Tech’s next contest is a road game against Kentucky on Nov. 26.
