Bethune-Cookman at Ohio

ATHENS, Ohio (Interstat) — Two teams seeking to halt early-season slides will meet Wednesday when the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats visit the Ohio Bobcats at the Convocation Center.

Both teams enter the nonconference matchup with identical 1-3 records. Bethune-Cookman is coming off an 82-91 loss at Dayton on Saturday. In that game, Arterio Morris led the Wildcats with 19 points, while Jakobi Heady added 17 points and six rebounds. The Wildcats’ lone win was a decisive 101-60 victory over Coastal Georgia on Nov. 11.

Ohio also looks to rebound from a lopsided defeat, having fallen 81-106 at Louisville on Saturday. Jackson Paveletzke poured in 28 points for the Bobcats in the loss. Ohio’s single victory this season came in a 72-68 win over Illinois State on Nov. 6.

The game represents a final home contest for the Bobcats before a multi-game stretch away from Athens. Bethune-Cookman continues a challenging road trip that has seen them play at Auburn, Miami (Fla.) and Dayton.

Tipoff is set for Wednesday night in Athens.
