TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Florida State Seminoles look to build on a dominant season-opening victory when they host the Alabama State Hornets in a nonconference men’s basketball game Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at the Donald L. Tucker Center.

Florida State (1-0) opened its season with a 108-76 rout of Alcorn State on Tuesday, showcasing a high-powered offense. The Seminoles will be heavily favored against an Alabama State team that has yet to play a game this season.

The Hornets (0-0) last took the court in March, falling 83-63 at Auburn. Alabama State begins a challenging stretch of its schedule against the Seminoles, the first of 10 consecutive games away from home.

In their opener, the Seminoles’ offense was firing on all cylinders, but they will face an Alabama State roster featuring several experienced transfers. Key players for the Hornets include Robert McCray V, who dished out 17 assists in the exhibition, and frontcourt scorers Lajae Jones and Chauncey Wiggins.

For Florida State, the game serves as a final tune-up before a rivalry showdown at Florida on Tuesday. Alabama State continues its road trip at UAB on Nov. 11.
