SAN DIEGO (Interstat) — The San Diego State Aztecs will open their 2025-26 men’s basketball season at home on Tuesday, Nov. 4, against the Long Beach State 49ers at Viejas Arena.

Both teams will be looking for a fresh start after concluding their previous seasons with losses in March. The Aztecs fell 95-68 to North Carolina in the NCAA Tournament on March 18, 2025. Long Beach State last played on March 8, 2025, dropping an 83-69 decision to Cal Poly.

The game marks the beginning of a new campaign for both programs, with each holding an 0-0 record. For San Diego State, the non-conference opener is the first of 10 games before the end of the calendar year, a slate that includes a multi-team event in Las Vegas and a high-profile matchup with Arizona in Phoenix.

Long Beach State will continue its season with a road game at Fresno State on Nov. 8, the second of 10 scheduled contests through early December.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. PST in San Diego.
