DALLAS (Interstat) — Blake Nielsen scored 21 points to lead Saint Edward’s to an 83-71 victory over Western New Mexico in a Lone Star Conference men’s Division II playoff game Saturday at Moody Coliseum.

The Hilltoppers, who led 39-37 at halftime, improved to 24-8. The Mustangs finished their season at 21-8.

Ryder Bradley added 19 points and nine assists for Saint Edward’s, while Jamison Kay also scored 19 points. Quincy Adams led Western New Mexico with 15 points off the bench, and Andre Harris scored 13.

Saint Edward’s avenged two regular-season losses to the Mustangs. The announced attendance was 532.
