KEARNEY, Neb. (Interstat) — In a defensive struggle defined by poor shooting, the Angelo State Rams opened their season with a 73-62 victory over the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers in a men’s NCAA Division II basketball game Friday afternoon at Alterowitz Gymnasium. The Rams never trailed, building an early double-digit lead in the first half and maintaining control throughout the second to secure the win before an announced crowd of 304.
