FORT SENECA, Ohio (Interstat) — In a season-opening defensive struggle, the Malone Pioneers overcame a halftime deficit to edge the Lewis Flyers 66-61 in a men’s NCAA Division II basketball game Friday afternoon at Gillmor Student Center. A crowd of 147 watched as the Pioneers, led by a double-double from Josiah Pierre, outscored the Flyers 38-30 in the second half to secure the victory.
