KAZAN (Interstat) — Alexei Byvaltsev scored 1:35 into overtime to give Ak Bars Kazan a 3-2 victory over Lada Togliatti on Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, in a Kontinental Hockey League game at TatNeft Arena. Nikita Lyamkin and Grigory Denisenko assisted on the winner. Attendance was 7,425. Timur Bilyalov made 29 saves on 31 shots for Ak Bars. Denisenko also scored in the first period, and Dmitry Katelevsky scored in the second. Alexander Chmelevski added an assist. Byvaltsev finished with two shots and one hit. Evgeny Groshev opened the scoring for Lada in the first period, with assists from Vladislav Chervonenko and Nikolai Makarov. Nikita Mikhailov tied it in the third period, assisted by Nikita Setdikov. Groshev had three shots and one hit. Mikhailov had one shot. Makarov added four shots, two penalty minutes and one hit. Riley Sawchuk had three shots and one hit. Ak Bars improved to 5-3-0.
