Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk at Amur Khabarovsk

KHABAROVSK, Russia (Interstat) — Amur Khabarovsk will look to extend its recent mastery over Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk when the Kontinental Hockey League teams meet again Tuesday at Platinum Arena.

The home side has won all three meetings this season, including a 3-2 victory on Sunday. Amur (22-37-0) has struggled overall but holds a 3-0-0 record against Neftekhimik (30-31-0) in the 2025-26 campaign.

Forward Grigory D. Kuzmin was the hero for Amur in the most recent matchup, scoring twice, including the game-winner. He enters Tuesday on a hot streak with three goals in his last two games.

Neftekhimik will counter with forward Matvei Zaseda, who scored one of his team’s two goals on Sunday. Zaseda has a goal and an assist in his last six games but will need to generate more consistent offense for a team that has been shut out twice in its last five contests.

Both clubs are on the fringe of the Eastern Conference playoff picture and desperately need points. Neftekhimik has lost four of its last five, while Amur has shown sporadic life with three wins in its last five outings.

Amur goaltender Maxim Dorozhko, who made 32 saves in Sunday’s win, is expected to start again. Neftekhimik’s recent goaltending decisions have been less clear amid the team’s slump.

The game continues a crucial homestand for Amur, which plays six of its next seven at Platinum Arena. Neftekhimik is in the middle of a demanding road trip through the Far East, with games in Vladivostok to follow later this week.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. local time.
