MINSK, Belarus (Interstat) — Dinamo Minsk will look to continue its strong start to the season when it hosts struggling Lada Togliatti in a Kontinental Hockey League matchup on Saturday at Minsk-Arena.

The home side enters the contest with an 11-7 record across all competitions, fresh off a 4-3 victory over Ak Bars Kazan on Thursday. Veteran forward Vadim Shipachyov, who scored in that win, anchors an offense that has found consistent success.

They face a Lada team mired in a difficult season, holding a 6-16 overall record. Lada is coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to Dynamo Moscow on Thursday, a game in which forwards Riley Sawchuk and Andrei Chivilev were productive, each recording a goal.

The recent head-to-head result heavily favors Dinamo Minsk, which shut out Lada 4-0 in Togliatti just over two weeks ago on Oct. 22.

Following this game, Lada continues a road trip with visits to Salavat Yulaev Ufa and Metallurg Magnitogorsk. Dinamo Minsk remains at home for its next two contests against HC Sochi and Sibir Novosibirsk.
