MOSCOW (Interstat) — Spartak Moscow looks to rebound from a shutout loss when it hosts struggling HC Sochi in a Kontinental Hockey League match on Sunday at Luzhniki Minor Arena.

Spartak (9-9-0) was blanked 5-0 by Dynamo Moscow on Thursday, halting a modest two-game win streak. The Red-and-Whites have been inconsistent, alternating wins and losses in their last six outings.

They will face a Sochi team (4-11-0) mired in a five-game losing skid. Sochi is coming off an 8-1 road loss to SKA Saint Petersburg on Friday, where Jean-Christophe Beaudin provided the lone goal.

The teams last met on Sept. 7, with Spartak securing a 4-3 home victory. Sochi’s last win was a 4-0 decision against Lada Togliatti on Sept. 30.

Following this contest, Spartak will host CSKA Moscow on Tuesday, while Sochi travels to face Dinamo Minsk. The two clubs are scheduled to meet again in Sochi on Nov. 2.
